Here is an very clean 1973 Roll-A-Long chassis mount motorhome, manufactured in Long Beach, California. This was the first year of the dentside Ford truck generation, and the repositioning of the fuel tank on this generation allowed for an open pass-through from the cab to the living area for the first time. The bed over the cab can lift up to allow easier access to the cab, and the front seats can swivel for added practicality. The overall length is 26 feet.

The Roll-A-Long has a very spacious layout, taking advantage of the full width for a very nice central living area and wrap-around dinette. There is a dry bathroom at the back with a 36"x26" stall shower/bath combo, sink, Thetford toilet and wardrobe. There is a pocket door for bathroom privacy. It offers seating (with seatbelts) for 5, and can also sleep 5. The interior has been reupholstered. There is a lot of storage area with many cupboards and drawers.

It features an original generously sized Magic Chef propane refrigerator, 4-burner range and oven, as well as a propane water heater and furnace. The refrigerator can also be operated on 120V.

The Roll-A-Long has a 20 gallon on-board propane capacity. There are 2 water tanks totaling about 44 gallons in capacity and a decently sized black water tank.

The engine and drivetrain are original but with some engine upgrades. A big-block 390 V8 with 3-speed automatic and dual rear wheels. The GVWR is 10000 pounds. The engine upgrades include an Edelbrock intake manifold and AVS2 4-barrel carburetor, headers, electric fuel pump, aluminum radiator and flex blade fan.

There is a built in Coleman 120V Air Conditioning unit. The tires are BFGoodrich KO2s with only 2000 miles on them, and a new full size spare. The wheels were purchased new at the same time. There is a large 1920 watt-hour LiFePO4 battery that functions as both the truck and house battery. The motorhome is equipped with a 200 watt solar panel and a matching one ready to be installed, and a 400 watt inverter. It has LED headlights and marker lights.

The structure of most of the roof has been rebuilt and upgraded, with a very large marine hatch at the back allowing for easy access to the roof, which can be used as a sun deck.

There are a few more upgrades and repairs than can be done, but better to allow the new owner to turn this classic into their ideal vision!

Please call and I'll be happy to answer any questions.
