Pauley Construction has a fantastic opportunity available! We are looking for Construction Laborers to work out of our Phoenix, Arizona offices. This position will consist primarily of heavy laborer work while assisting the drill operator with locating utilities and obstacles as needed. This position consists of general construction laborer/utility worker duties which will including heavy labor shoveling, trenching and operating vacuum excavators. The position will also be required to help locate utilities for the drill operator and assist with any other miscellaneous related laborer duties as assigned by the crew foreman/supervisor.
Shoveling, digging, handling and potentially operating basic construction equipment on site.
May be operating various equipment on-site as needed to assist other operators or drivers.
General equipment maintenance as needed
Pot hole & utility location for the drill operator as needed to avoid job damages
Must be minimum of 21 years old to drive company vehicles/operate company equipment
Underground Utility Construction experience a plus
Valid Driver's License
Must be able to obtain class A CDL license within six months of hire date
Must be able to effectively communicate with crew.
Be available to work overtime and emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Maintain a positive attitude with team.
Maintain good public relations (interact with the public in a courteous manner)
Must have reliable transportation
Basic ability to use small tools/hand tools
Must have strong physical endurance for hot weather conditions, repetitive bending, stooping, lifting, transferring equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
Must pass company drug testing
Keep appropriate documentation (time cards, job cost, etc.)
Applicants are required to pass all company drug testing, submit to a background check and adhere to all OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements and training provided by company as required.
